consisting of many of his J.V. players went on to finish 2nd in the state amongst
Junior Legion programs. That same summer, Carr joined Coach Wayman as
assistant coach with the Murrysville American Legion team, which claimed a
District Title. Before joining F.R. in 2003, Ed worked as an assistant for two years
with the State College High School program, where the Little Lions won

only setback for the team in 2001 was a 2-0 loss on ESPN2 to the now infamous
Danny Almonte and the Bronx, NY team. With a win in that game, S.C. would have
earned a spot in the Little League World Series. Soon after the World Series,
the NY team was found to have players of illegal age and was stripped of all their
winnings. S.C. American was honored at Williamsport during the 2002 Little
League World Series, and was the subject of many national news articles and
specials.
